I. EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
I.I. NORMS RELATING TO PUBLICATION DECISIONS:
As a member of the Board, you would be asked to assist Joint Jurist in reviewing or checking manuscripts. This includes conducting reviews for those manuscripts for which the Journal requires a reviewer and assisting with submission cases where conflicting reviews exist. The editorial board member will evaluate manuscripts without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. The decision will be based strictly on the paper’s importance, originality, and clarity, alongside the study’s rationality and its significance to the journal’s scope.
I.II. CONFIDENTIALITY:
The editorial board member must not reveal any information about a submitted document/paper/article to anyone other than the corresponding author(s), reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as suitable. Given the sensitive nature of the materials discussed via email or otherwise, members are bound to keep all discussions strictly confidential.
I.III. DISCLOSURE AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST:
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted paper will not be used by the editorial board member for their own research purposes without the author’s clear written consent. The editorial board member must submit a copy of such written consent to the publisher.
II. AUTHORS’ DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND OBLIGATIONS
II.I. ORIGINALITY, PLAGIARISM, AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF SOURCES:
Authors are requested to submit only entirely original works and must appropriately cite or quote the work and words of others. Merely citing the source does not automatically eliminate plagiarism. Multiple, redundant, or concurrent publication of papers describing essentially the same research is considered unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Manuscripts published as copyrighted material elsewhere cannot be submitted.
By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) retain the rights to the published material. In case of publication, they permit the use of their work under a Creative Commons License, which allows others to read and use the material for study or research purposes only, strictly excluding commercial use.
II.II. AUTHORSHIP OF THE PAPER:
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All significant contributors should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author ensures that all contributing co-authors—and no uninvolved persons—are included in the list, and verifies that all co-authors have approved the final version and agreed to its submission.
